On arrival at the amazing Legoland hotel, which I intend to stay at when M is a little older to appreciate, we were handed a map, lanyard and some super amazing gold wrist bands which allowed us to access the rides without queuing. These wrist bands were the best things we could have been given. We almost felt like celebrities each time we waltzed on to a ride. I don’t think we could have ridden as many rides as we did if we had of have to queue.

After saying our hellos to several bloggers we recognised, we headed over to the Imagination Theatre to watch Legends of Chima 4D Movie. It was bang on M’s nap time, which was perfect as there was no way he would sit through a short film, let along one which snowed on him. I covered him with a blanket and enjoyed the movie. It was short and sweet and certainly fun for the ages it was aimed at.

Next on the itinerary was a mass Mad Blog Awards Finalists photo. This was taken by the brand new Duplo Valley zone, which houses a fab little water park. We got to play in the water park at the end of the day and even though M wasn’t convinced, quite a few of the other bloggers little ones, loved it.

The rest of our day was spent with the lovely Bex from Mummy Adventure and her family. We took it in turns on the rides so that we managed some of the bigger rides whilst our little ones had a nap. We met even more lovely bloggers who we hope to catch up with at Britmums Live or the awards in September

Our favourite rides seemed to be the ones which left us totally soaked. Luckily the sun came out towards the end of the day and dried us up before our journey back to Dorset. It really was such a fun day, watching M’s little face in awe of the Fairy tale boat ride and sharing giggles on the Orient Had to be two of my favourite moments. We can’t wait to take him back when he’s older, I think we will be saving for a while to buy the Q-bots. It’s the only way I’d want to enjoy the rides.

I was explaining to them about two instances where someone has gone completely out of their way to make a remark to us.

1st – On the first day of our Honeymoon a guy in a car deliberately stopped in front of us and shouted ‘Lesbians!’ out of the window.

2nd – We were holding hands through our local shopping centre when a group of lads also shouted ‘Lesbians!’ at us. It’s now a joke between K and I as I thought they shouted ‘Lizard’ at first. K used to have a Mohawk so I just put two and two together haha.

I won’t go into details about some of the other comments we have had thrown at us over the years.

We try not take it to heart though if a friend makes a remark, we know its meant in jest and we find it quite funny. If a complete stranger makes a remark, which are almost always men, we see it as an inferiority or ‘size’ complex that they have *joke, we know not all men have a size issue*

I think it’s the fear of the unknown to be completely honest. It has got me thinking though, have any of our readers had any remarks referencing their sexuality thrown at them? We’d like to hear them and your opinions on why people feel the need to shout them out.

When it arrived at the door I was jumping around with excitement, I even recall clapping my hands a little, I’m not embarrassed to admit that, it’s what happens when you become a parent. We even took pictures of Monkey sitting on the box.

Of course we set it up straight away, it comes flat packed with really good instructions. We know that these days baby products tend to come already set up but this is not your average high chair, it grows with your child all the way to adulthood. In order for this chair to do so, is by having the luxury to change the height of the seat and the foot rest.

We took 35 minutes to put the Tripp Trapp together, it would have been much quicker if we read the instructions more clearly, they are brilliantly set out and easy to follow so it was purely down to us rushing. Kirsty is really good at this sort of thing and we quickly figured out where we had gone wrong. It feels incredibly sturdy, I suppose that is the luxury of having a wooden high chair, perfectly balanced.

We are currently using the Baby Set for Monkey, he fits in it very well and is snug enough that we don’t have to worry about a harness. Harnesses are available from Stokke for when he moves on from the Baby Set. We love that the Baby Set comes in different colours so you can mix and match or colour coordinate, we went with the latter.

Monkey looks extremely comfortable and his movement isn’t restricted in the slightest. We will probably be purchasing a cushion set, we find that M likes to sit in his chair and play with toys on occasion so we want to make him as comfortable as possible, these are also available and come in a variety of different colours.

Unlike other high chairs the Stokke Tripp Trapp is quite low, which is excellent for allowing baby to sit and eat at the table with you. We are currently living in a house where there is no dining table and we use a breakfast bar so Monkey is unable to sit with us ‘at the table’ but he doesn’t seem to mind very much. We still eat together at meal times, we purchased a play tray so he can still feed himself. I’m sure it will be perfect for when we move and buy our new table. I will be on the look out for one that allows the Tripp Trapp to fit up against it perfectly.

It’s very easy to clean, no awkward corners to try and get to. All it needs is a simple wipe with an antibacterial wipe and it’s ready for Monkeys next meal. Our previous high chair started discolouring after a month, as we all know meal times with a baby is not the cleanest! If you have a Tripp Trapp it’s a doddle and our clean up time had been halved.

We love bright colours so chose a Red Tripp Trapp, and it was the best decision, it stands out and brightens up the room. We are going to buy a Tripp Trapp for all of our children in all different colours. Have a rainbow of Tripp Trapps.

The Tripp Trapp retails at £135 which is very reasonable considering it is a chair for life. There is a New Born Set which allows your little bundle to be close by at mealtimes from birth. Accessories such as the Baby Set, Newborn Set and Harnesses can be purchased at an additional cost.

I would recommend you invest in this chair, we love it!

A fellow blogger @GermanGirlinLDN asked the question “Do you have a song that means a lot to you?” And it triggered memories of the music that helped me.

We were rushed in to hospital on the night of the 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony for an induction as my Cholestasis was worsening. When we pulled up in the car park, looked at each other in a ‘this is it’ kind of way and Fun ‘It Gets Better’ started to play on the radio. The opening lines of this song go like this -

“What have we done? Oh my god. What have we done? Oh my god! (Music solo) This is really happening!”

We both just burst into fits of laughter. That song means a lot to me. It turned out that I wasn’t induced until the Sunday, you can look back at our Birth Story here.

When my labour was in full swing that Sunday evening, I needed something to keep me calm and something else to concentrate on. My amazing wife had made me a playlist of some of my favourite songs just days before so through the night I listened to 2 albums – Adele 21 and Emilee Sande Our Version of Events.

These albums mean a lot to me as they kept me going, those amazing women kept singing to me all night long and I love them for it.

Music is a huge part of my life and I couldn’t have got through labour without it playing in the background.

The crab retails at £12.50, which is a little more than we would normally spend on a toy of this size. But with the quality and length of time it kept M's attention, I could see myself buying it for someone as a gift.

We renamed Lilliputiens Oscar The Greedy Crab, Mr Crabby. Everything in how house gets a name and we felt this suited this little man well. Mr Crabby has a little bell inside whilst his little friend who's attached to him, contains a squeaker. At first the squeaker attracted M's attention far more than the bell, but he loves hearing the bell when he plays with Mr Crabby.

We love how stimulating Mr Crabby is. He has a soft side, a bumpy side, a scratchy sounding belly, a bell and a frog with a squeaker. He also comes with some handy knotted pieces of fabric attached which make it easy for little hands to grasp him. M quite often toddles around holding him by the fabric.

The Lilliputiens Oscar The Greedy Crab is perfect for babies of approximately 3 months old plus. It's been incredibly useful when trying to distract M during nappy changes and has been a great addition to bedtime stories.

Our little man has been a whizzing whirling ball of energy since he learnt to walk. Everything has to be touched and inspected or picked up and carried around the room.

But tonight he was happy to take ten minutes out of his busy schedule, to sit on the bed with his two mummies and snuggle.

As Dumbo played in the background, I looked down at his tiny hand as it grasped mine. I wondered where the weeks and months had gone since I first held his little hand.

Soon the little man holding my hand will be one and I will wonder where our tiny baby has gone. But I’m happy, so happy, because I love this little boy more than I ever knew I had the capacity to. Sometimes so much love brims within me that I find myself blinking back tears when I see him do something new or when he smiles at me with his big gummy smile.

Every moment I’m with M is like a moment I’m floating. Which sounds totally unreal, but then so is the feeling I have had since he was born. He’s amazing, he’s changed our lives. You’ve got to be someone special to change a life.

So I’m certain our little man is someone special.

Clara's favourite drink of all time is Coca Cola, it has to be the original red coke too! When we decided to spend the evening concentrating on just us, we thought it would be a good idea to pamper ourselves. We rarely get a spare moment alone together, let alone time to pamper. So armed with snacks and Coca Cola, which we purchased earlier from Tesco (you can check out our shopping trip on Google+), we set about pampering ourselves.

Now those who know me well, will know I'm not really a pampering person and to be fair neither is Clara. But with Britmums Live coming up, it's a nice opportunity to make ourselves feel good and look great. I've also become slightly addicted to those face masks you peel off. It's like peeling off lots of skin after you've been sunburnt. There's something satisfaction about it.

We popped on some cheesy tunes and giggled over stupid things. It was so nice to be reconnecting as a couple. Clara looks great no matter what situation she finds herself in. I on the other hand look less than impressed when sporting my face mask. Although it did feel nice and refreshing once I'd peeled it off.

The Coke was flowing fast, we were on to the second bottle before the popcorn had even been opened. I hadn't realised that the guacamole I'd bought had chilli in it, combined with the chilli rice crackers our snacks were quite hot. I'm glad we'd purchased two bottles.

Clara couldn't resist the popcorn any longer, she loves the stuff almost as much as she loves Coke. She's lucky that I'm not a fan as this allowed her the majority of the bag. We moved on to head massages and shoulder rubs. Neither of us were able to take each other seriously as we kept laughing. It was so nice to be spending time together just being the women who fell in love.

We are thinking of setting aside a night for ourselves as a couple, at least once a month. Once all the face masks had been peeled off and the snacks had been eaten, it was nice to just sit and talk to each other. It's important to try and find some time to concentrate on each other. When all our children are grown up and move out, C is the one I want to grow old with, laughing and sharing snacks over a face mask.

We made sure we waited until Monkey could hold his head up sturdily before we placed him in the Bumbo. He looked so tiny sitting upright. I couldn’t resist snapping a picture to remember his first ever time in his Bumbo Floor Seat.

We found the Bumbo perfect for assisting M in sitting before he could sit up on his own. C was able to set M up in the Bumbo with his tray and some toys and he would happily play for however long it would take for C to make his lunch or give the living room a quick tidy.

The addition of the tray was fantastic as it allowed us to attach different suction toys to it to promote stimulation.

The Bumbo is the perfect seat for a baby who is unable to sit themselves up yet. It provides support and is lightweight enough to travel with. We took it on most journeys to my parents house when he was small. It allowed us to give him his own space to play without worrying. We knew he was well supported and safe.

When M was able to sit up on his own and eventually walk around we were concerned the Bumbo wouldn’t be used anymore.

But now M is 10 months old, it’s found a new home in the bathroom. M will sit happily in his Bumbo whilst we use the bathroom or have a quick wash. If he’s having a day where he doesn’t want to sit in it he spends ages pushing and moving it round the bathroom.

We will certainly be keeping it for our next baby.
