With so many videos and posts about Camp Bestival, I would find it surprising if you still needed convincing to buy a ticket. But if you do, these are our 12 reasons to attend Camp Bestival this year.
C – Camping
It wouldn’t be Camp Bestival without the fun of camping in my opinion. I know there are those that love a day ticket, which is great if camping isn’t your thing. But the atmosphere and enjoyment of camping among like minded people at such a family friendly festival is lovely.
A – All Saints
When I discovered that All Saints would be performing on the Castle Stage at Camp Bestival I may have whooped a little. If you’re not familiar with All Saints then either you are older or younger than I am, but you need to get listening to their greatest hits and newest album to appreciate these ladies talent.
M – Madness
I grew up listening to Madness and would sometimes quote their songs without thinking. They have a fun energy about them that I know will get the crowd jumping around and dancing together. Plus it will be great to hear the Castle Stage crowd singing along to their hits.
P – Pimp my trolley competition
If you’re familiar with Camp Bestival you will already be aware how popular it is to pimp your trolley (wagon) to carry your little ones in style. Each year Camp Bestival encourage festival goers to pimp their trolley and enter it into the pimp my trolley competition. The best Trolley wins a Family Ticket to Camp Bestival 2018 so it is certainly worth entering!
B – Big Fish Little Fish
We love the Big Fish Little Fish team and recently enjoyed visiting one of their Camp Bestival launch raves in Bournemouth. They perfectly mix raving with family friendly fun and are not to be missed.
E – Elmer the Elephant
There’s really no more to say than it’s a great classic we love!
S – School of Rock the Musical
This fab musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. It’s based on the film and just as hilarious.
T – The Feast Collective
The Feast Collective celebrates food from the best food creators across the UK. With lots to choose from and great big communal tables to dine at, it will be a great place to regain your energy for the day.
I – Indian Queens
Indian Queens are sisters Jennifer and Katherine O’Neil and their best friend Mat whom have been making music since school. Their tones and debut single ‘Us Against the World’ are what convinced me that these are an act to watch this year.
V – VIP Camping
If regular camping isn’t your style you may want to give backstage VIP camping a go. Located in the festival’s exclusive backstage area, directly behind the Main Stage this area gives you access to a host of exceptional facilities, including clean, flushing toilets, hot showers and a dedicated car park. If you’re looking to brush shoulders with some VIPs then this could be the campsite for you.
A – Art Town
This area was one of our favourites last year. Which so much to craft, paint or build, this area will keep you and the kids entertained for hours. This years theme of Popstars and Rockstars will see you making sunglasses and rockstar wristbands. It’s going to be great!
L – Love Bot
The Love Bot stands at eight metres tall and thrives on positivity and love. He truly is such an astounding interactive art installation.
