2016 Official Camp Bestival Bloggers

Camp Bestival is without doubt the highlight of our year. We just adore the whole atmosphere of this amazing festival and of course it is made even better by spending it with amazing friends as well.

We wouldn’t miss it for the world and we are delighted to be attending as official Camp Bestival bloggers again this year.

It’s the time of year when we just throw all of our daily routines out of the window and truly let our hair down. No set bedtimes for M, no early nights, no getting up in a rush in the morning. It’s just time to chill out and listen to some amazing music and soak up some summer sun. We have been for the last 2 years and were spoilt by amazing weather each time. Fingers crossed for this year!

We usually get up, chill out outside the tent with a sausage bap or two, or even a sausage pop (Sossy pop), made famous by our good friend Sian whereby she places a cooked sausage on the end of a chop stick and VoilĂ , breakfast is served. We then grab the baby wipes (an essential for festival living) have a quick wash, get dressed, put on some festival war paint and head out. This year is going to be extra special as it’s also our little mans’ 4th Birthday whilst we’re at the festival so extra celebrations will be taking place. What a lucky little boy! And whilst we’re on this subject, how on earth is our little man turning 4?! Time certainly flies when you’re having so much fun.

We’re also spoiled by the amount of singers and performers that are lined up over the 3 days and this year is no exception. We will be seeing the likes of Fat Boy Slim, Tears for Fears, Jess Glynne, Katie B, KT Tunstall, Arrested Development and a lot lot more. I have to say, I can not wait to see Fat Boy Slim, it will be the highlight of the festival for me. I have been waiting years to see him!

As well as amazing singers, comedians, kids performers (Including Aliens love underpants live and Mr. Tumble) orchestras, live theatre and poetry and book readings there is also an abundance of amazing food and drink (offered by the very awesome Feast Collective), on offer. We really are spoiled for choice!

We are getting some of our preparation in gear now by cleaning up the wagon and padding it out. The wagon is a life saver whilst festivaling with a little one as it becomes as chill out zone for M and a place that is just his. Each evening we usually head back to the tent with some dinner, relax for a little while and get M into some warm PJ’s for the evening. We then pack up supplies and lots of pillows and blankets and head on out to the main stage to watch the headliners in the evening. If M wants feels like he needs to sleep he can lay down in the wagon and close his eyes and we don’t need to worry about him too much. He’s never fallen asleep in the evening but he does get very tired and tends to crash out by a certain time. It’s the most important item on our packing list. It’s only one weekend in the whole year and who cares if he’s up late? That’s what the Monday is for, to chill out and grab an early night before normal life resumes.

We really cannot wait to get back there again and it’s only 14 weeks away, so the count down starts now!

I’ve only really just scratched the surface in this post as its really that amazing a place to be. If you like what you’ve read and have followed our fun time at Camp Bestival over the last few years why not book your tickets now and join in the fun. If you don’t have the money to just spend out on tickets they also offer a payment plan to spread the cost over the next few months.

We might see you there space explorers!

We are provided with a family ticket to attend Camp Bestival. But all awesome views are our own as we love it.
