On the A35 between Bridport and Charmouth West Dorset is a little farm shop with possibly the best view in Dorset. We travel this route at least once a month and occasionally stop to stretch our legs or enjoy one of their amazing chocolate brownies. Each and every time we stop, I drink in the beautiful view of the National Trust Golden Cap estate and the sea perfectly placed in the distance.
It’s become a bit of a tradition to take a picture when we stop. I could see this view every week and still it would fill me with so much joy. Nature has a great way of painting the landscape into the most perfect visual feast.
This visit we decided to spend a little longer at our beauty spot. We ordered some sandwiches and sat on the picnic benches just behind the farm shop. The sun was blazing and the view seemed to be even more beautiful than past visits. It really made me happy to have my little family with me in such a beautiful location.
Far too often we take our surroundings for granted. You may not be near the best view in Dorset. But I bet if you stopped and looked around you, you could find some beauty in the world around you.
