We like to see the happiness around us, no matter how small, we like to look for something that makes us smile. On a dark day a laugh or random act of kindness can mean the world to someone. This is something I’ve taken into photography lately. I love looking for the small details, the light when most can see only dark, the flicker of red in a sea of grey. I thought it would be a great idea to start a 6 week photography project capturing colour around us.
I like even numbers, so for 6 weeks, across 6 blogs we are going to share our posts capturing 6 different colours. I really admire the other ladies involved with this project and am really keen to see how they capture colour in their daily lives.
The lovely ladies involved are
Lauren from Real Housewife of Suffolk County
Chloë from Sorry about the Mess
Clare from Maybush Studio
For the next 6 weeks, starting on the 5th June, these lovely ladies will be sharing a post over on their blogs. So make sure you add them on Blog Lovin or follow them on Twitter to stay in touch. We will also be hashtagging our photos on Instagram using the tag #capturingcolour. We’d love you to share your pictures for the weeks chosen colour. Each week I will select a roundup of pictures on the hashtag and share them on our post. So if you want to join in, make sure you hashtag when you start capturing colour.
A huge inspiration for the Capturing Colour photography project, is the lovely Xanthe Berkeley, a fantastic photographer and videographer. I have followed Xanthe on Instagram for a while now and she always manages to find the colour in life and I love this. She inspires me to look at the world differently.
This weeks colour is blue, so get snapping and sharing and don’t forget to use the hashtag #capturingcolour.
