Monkey’s 2nd Christmas – 2013

Monkey’s 2nd Christmas – 2013

When we started preparations for Christmas, many people told us that M wouldn't be too fussed about his 2nd Christmas. They said he'd probably feel the same was as he did for his first Christmas. But we noticed that with each tree we saw and picture of Santa we passed, M was getting more and more excited. Whenever we were in the car he would squeal at the flashing Christmas lights that decorated the houses. We started thinking that perhaps he was much more aware of something special happening, than we gave him…continue reading →
A Little of a Lot of changes

A Little of a Lot of changes

These past few weeks have giving me more time with M, than I've had in over a year. I've got to see a little of a lot of changes he is going through. His speech is developing every day, to the point where he seems to have a new word in his vocabulary every morning. I love the little conversations we have over breakfast or in the car. The way his says "Yes" when I ask him if he loves me, just makes me smile so big. Physically M is growing so fast…continue reading →

2013 in Pictures

This year has been full of changes for us. We started off the year in a different house to the one we are ending it in, we've watched our little man change so much and our blog has grown in ways we couldn't have imagined. We've enjoyed being part of a major award winning advertising campaign, featuring in an article which went viral and enjoyed celebrating when the Equal Marriage act got passed. We were nominated for two blogging awards and enjoyed celebrating with the winners, there's always next year. We've loved meeting…continue reading →
Marks and Spencer ‘Spread Christmas Cheer’

Marks and Spencer ‘Spread Christmas Cheer’

Christmas is such a magical time of year. We love having a big Christmas all together as a family, taking the time to just spend time with each other. This year however, we were given the opportunity by Marks and Spencer to 'Spread Christmas Cheer' to a special family who have touched our lives. We were given a £20 gift card to spend on a special present, it could be anything we wished. The act of giving a gift doesn't have to cost a fortune, it's the thought you put into gift. We…continue reading →
What We Love About Christmas

What We Love About Christmas

I am a total Christmas Obsessive. Our Christmas Tree went up on the 1st December and I've cracked out the Christmas tunes. I love the magic of Christmas and am happy to celebrate that joy for a month. Christmas for me is about family and love and being thankful for who and what you have in your life. So what's wrong with wanting to revisit those childhood memories of excitement and the feeling of magic? I hope to pass the excitement on to our little man and any future children we are blessed…continue reading →
Christmas at the Tank Museum

Christmas at the Tank Museum

Last year when M was very small and wrapped up in his sling, we took him to celebrate Christmas at the Tank Museum. We were very tired mummies and had a baby that had no idea what was going on around him. So this year we had higher expectations when my mum asked us to go with her to see Santa arrive on a tank. Apart from some confusion with the staff when Santa arrived outside the Museum, everything else was well planned and full of festive cheer. Monkey's Nanna treated him to…continue reading →
Gadget Heaven – A Day at Panasonic

Gadget Heaven – A Day at Panasonic

Last week we were excited to announce that we had been chosen to become Panasonic Mums. Which means in 2014 we get to work with the lovely people at Panasonic to share information about their products and tech and also for us to learn more about what products they have on offer for families to enjoy. You can imagine my excitement when we discovered we would be visiting Panasonic HQ to check out their latest tech and to learn all about their Smart VIERA TV's. On our arrival to Panasonic, we were taken…continue reading →
Beano celebrates its 75th anniversary

Beano celebrates its 75th anniversary

I've been a Beano fan since I was very small. Each week my parents bought me a Beano magazine and every Christmas I received a Beano Annual in my Beano sack. I had a Beano duvet set, school bag, pencil-case, mugs, t-shirts and many more items to show my love. When I heard the news that Beano was celebrating its 75th Anniversary, I just knew I had to get involved. My Beano sack had already been removed from the loft so that we could start filling it with presents to take round to…continue reading →
Finding The Perfect Coat

Finding The Perfect Coat

For the last few years I have worn the same winter coat. It was a total bargain I managed to pick up to tide me over during the cold spell we were having. It kept me warm when I learnt to snowboard, it protected me during the snow of 2012 and it's kept me dry during many a geocache hunt. But I am not a huge fan of winter coats. I find them bulky, awkward fitting and as I am short but blessed in other areas, buying a coat for length always ends…continue reading →
Living Arrows – Sharing the memories we keep

Living Arrows – Sharing the memories we keep

It is no secret that I love photography. I see myself as someone who likes to keep a memory in its visible form, for all to see. I believe you can interpret this memory individually and quite often become aware of a deeper story. When our little man entered our world I decided I wanted to document his life, so that when he is older he has his story and can peek into the adventures we shared from my perspective. When I was approached by the I Heart Snapping team to become involved…continue reading →
