Why we vlog

Why we vlog

Both Clara and I love using our cameras to capture the adventure we call life. We both have a love of film and making little videos and enjoy uploading these videos to our YouTube channel. When we started this blog we wanted to open a little door into our lives to show how our family enjoyed the day to day adventures. A couple of years down the line and Clara suggested it would be a great idea to capture and share our lives EVERY SINGLE DAY for a year. At first I'll admit,…continue reading →
So much fun

So much fun

Now that Clara and I work full time, we are always looking for ways to make the weekends packed full of fun. We don't need to spend lots of money to have fun and often just enjoy a trip to the woods or swimming. But last weekend we decided to visit somewhere we'd never visited before, despite living just over 30 minutes away from it. Boy did we have fun, so much fun. The playground we found ourselves at was located right on the edge of the beach, which if you're regular readers,…continue reading →
Just yesterday

Just yesterday

It seems like, just yesterday we were stood in our tiny bathroom, crying over a pregnancy stick that said "PREGNANT". I'm pretty sure it was just yesterday we anxiously waited for a scan to discover if all was ok with our little 9 week bump, after C had a bad bleed. I'm almost certain it was yesterday I held my breath whilst a midwife gave M oxygen whilst I stroked his little hand waiting for him to breath. It has to be just yesterday when I watched my wife smile so proudly as…continue reading →
Spring Beach trip

Spring Beach trip

Every year since we moved to Dorset, C and I have looked forward to the lighter evenings and warmer weekends. We spend most of our summer days down the beach and have enjoyed many a weekend trip over the years. A few weekends ago we were really lucky to be blessed with the warmest day of the year so far. So we did what we always do on these days, we packed up the car and headed to the beach. The wind still created a little chill in the air, so we didn't…continue reading →
Every day a coming out

Every day a coming out

If you're a regular reader, you will probably be aware that C and I recently moved to a new house. We moved into a lovely quiet little road with well kept gardens and neighbours that keep themselves to themselves. We haven't really encountered anyone since we moved, apart from the odd smile and greeting during the day. A month in our new home and now we are gradually getting to meet the neighbours, thanks to regular parcel deliveries arriving whilst we are working. Thankfully we have moved to a friendly road with a…continue reading →
Easter at Farmer Palmers

Easter at Farmer Palmers

This year C and I decided what we were doing Easter Sunday, the day before it arrived. Last year we visited Farmer Palmers and watched M enjoy a lovely little egg hunt among the hay. So we thought it would be nice to revisit to find some eggs, now that M is a little older. When we arrived we were directed to the overflow car park and very soon realised many more people had decided it was a great day to visit the farm. I think the glorious weather had something to do…continue reading →
We will weather any storm

We will weather any storm

Clara and I have always had quite a passionate relationship, in many senses of the word. We are both quite passionate people and both have very strong opinions on various subjects. Over the years we've learned to accept our differences. We love each other entirely and understand that relationships require communication and a little work every now and then. I feel part of the reason we get on so well, is because I married my best friend. Someone who gets me, thinks I am just the right amount of crazy and puts up…continue reading →
A Day with Dinosaurs

A Day with Dinosaurs

Our little dude is dinosaur mad! He loves to watch programmes about dinosaurs, eat dinosaur themed lunches and reads books with us about¬†dinosaurs. Clara and I have booked extra time off this Easter, so that we could look after him during his half term from nursery. We wanted to make the most of our solo days with him and I thought a dinosaur day would be perfect. We are lucky to live less than an hour away from a lovely little dinosaur museum in Dorchester, Dorset. Being the money saving person I am,…continue reading →

Amber – Goblin Child – Monday’s Modern Families

Amber – Goblin Child – Monday’s Modern Families

This week we have a lovely lady who is quite new to our blog feed. We have followed her posts for a few months now and have been enjoying her fabulous photography of her gorgeous little boys. Amber is a blogger and photographer based in London. Goblin Child is her space to document the growth of her baby twins, share what they've been wearing and write about the joys and frustrations of being a LGBT parent. When people learn that I have children in a same-sex relationship, nine times out of ten they're…continue reading →
