Moors Valley Park – #BetterPlaces

“This #BetterPlaces post is in support of the Syndol Find Your Better Place campaign with BritMums. Syndol is now formulated for headaches. Visit www.syndol.co.uk for online resources with information about headaches and how to restore calm in your life.” At the start of the year I declared that this would be my year of "make a difference". I wanted to make a difference in many areas of my life and also attempt to make a difference in others lives. One of my biggest areas I wanted to make a difference was my health.…continue reading →
Flashsticks helping me learn Spanish

Flashsticks helping me learn Spanish

Ever since I decided to check off a list of things to do before I turned 30, I have wanted to master Spanish. I've tried apps, YouTube and books. But never quite grasped the vocabulary and ended up giving up when I couldn't remember phrases or pronounce things properly. That was until we discovered Flashsticks, which is now helping me learn Spanish in a totally new way. FlashSticks are fab Post-it® Notes, that come printed with a useful word, the translation, an image of the word and the phonetic breakdown of how to…continue reading →
A moment together

A moment together

Our little dude has always been a Mummy's boy. He is C's little shadow and it's something that I've grown to see as a beautiful relationship between two people I love. Any time that we get to spend a moment together, just us two, enjoying each others company, is a moment I cherish. One of these moments occurred recently at an awesome digger party we attended. A lovely little decorating station, posed the opportunity for M and I to work together to create a special little biscuit. As sugar filled three year olds…continue reading →
An awesome digger party

An awesome digger party

8 years ago the internet lead me to discover someone I now call my wife. It's opened doors to us in the blogging community and most of all, it's introduced us to friends not only for us, but also for our little man. At the end of last year we were lucky enough to meet two lovely ladies who had a little dude just a few months older than M. We'd been followers of theirs on twitter since M was tiny, so it was nice for us to meet them and introduce the…continue reading →
Love is….

Love is….

Today is a day that despite being madly in love, becomes more like a regular day to us each year. Don't get me wrong, I like to think I am super romantic, but I also like to think I show it all year round and not just on the day the shops want us to. We've bought each other a card and told each other not to buy a gift, even though we've both casually presented each other with a token of our love. Clara was grateful for her favourite chocolates, whilst I…continue reading →
I’m Back

I’m Back

I'm going to hold my hands up and say that I have been the crappiest blogger these last few months. My poor wife has been holding up the fort all this time waiting for me to feel the blogging love again and she has been doing a wonderful job. I've loved reading her posts and looking at her wonderful photography. She's such a talented person and I love her so much for being so patient with me. I'm sure we all go through it at some point and I honestly can't tell you…continue reading →
A month complete

A month complete

At the end of 2014 Clara and I decided to set ourselves a challenge. One of our trickiest challenges we've ever attempted, but one we were looking forward to. We came up with the idea to vlog daily for the whole of 2015. On the 1st of January we uploaded our first daily and have uploaded a video every day since. Today marks a full month since we opened a little window to our lives. We upload each video one day behind the days events, over on our YouTube channel. It's been great…continue reading →
Collecting a year at Moors Valley Park

Collecting a year at Moors Valley Park

Last year we visited Moors Valley Park so much, we very nearly bought one of their annual car park passes to spread the cost of visiting. It's certainly our favourite place to visit in Dorset and has almost become a second home. The cost of visiting isn't actually a negative, we only have to pay for the car park if we take a picnic, which is fantastic for a whole day out somewhere fun. This month I realised I had an opportunity to capture a year of Moors Valley Park. I really enjoy…continue reading →
Are you sure he’s two?

Are you sure he’s two?

At the end of the month, our little dude will be two and a half. It's crazy that we've already had this awesome bouncing, buzzing ball of energy in our lives for two and a half years. Every day he brings a smile to our lips and the sound of laughter fills our home. He challenges us both, not only as parents but as people too. We've both been forced to become the people he deserves to have raising him. You may become a parent instantly, but I feel it takes a while…continue reading →
I love you Mummy

I love you Mummy

Before we even became parents I used to think about having conversations with our mini human creation and smiled at the thought of them declaring their feelings independently. Now that our little dude is 2 and a half those moments have arrived. Each day M is learning new words and surprising us with really long sentences and conversation. But my all time favourite sentence he has ever spoken has to be "I love you Mummy". Each time he shares this heart fluttering statement he is usually wrapped in C's arms. He looks up…continue reading →
