We love World Book Day

World Book Day has always been a day I have looked back on fondly. I loved dressing up as a child and often got my parents to craft me outfits for my favourite characters as World Book Day approached. My all time favourite costume was "Burglar Bill" from the fab children's book 'Cops & Robbers'. My parents made me a costume from the items I had in my wardrobe and wrote SWAG on an old pillow case. What we’ve been reading in May

Both Clara and I love to read and have got back into reading in a big way this month. The three books we were sent are called - Yappy, Happy, Dilly Dog - The Froobles, Little Jack Potato and the big surprise - Five Little Penguins.   The first book I looked at with Monkey was…continue reading →

Does it come with a manual?

Since AI day or as I like to call it "All in" day, our book shelves have slowly started to rival the parenting section in our local library. To begin with we started with light hearted books that didn't scare you too much. They talked about every symptom as though it was similar to being in a sitcom. We expected to have lots of lovely anecdotes to talk about after the 1st trimester. I hate to break it to those of you still in the lovely floaty stages of the 1st trimester. These…continue reading →
