Christmas at the Tank Museum

Christmas at the Tank Museum

Last year when M was very small and wrapped up in his sling, we took him to celebrate Christmas at the Tank Museum. We were very tired mummies and had a baby that had no idea what was going on around him. So this year we had higher expectations when my mum asked us to go with her to see Santa arrive on a tank. Apart from some confusion with the staff when Santa arrived outside the Museum, everything else was well planned and full of festive cheer. Monkey's Nanna treated him to…continue reading →
Life’s a Beach

Life’s a Beach

The Monday just gone was meant to be C's first day at her new job and M's first day at his new nursery. But life has a funny way of throwing a curve ball and because we like to live adventurously, it put us on a completely new path towards a totally new adventure. C didn't get to start her new job (for reasons not related to her) and unfortunately has been told there is no longer a position, therefore M didn't need to start nursery and is enjoying even more Mummy time.…continue reading →
Like a kid in a toy shop

Like a kid in a toy shop

We've been so busy lately, the time we've had to play with M seems to pass so quickly. We're preparing to move house, so it's box town in our room at the moment. M was starting to suffer with cabin fever after being unwell for the last few weeks. So we decided to escape the house this weekend. What started to as a treat meal at Pizza Hut, turned into an exciting visit to Toys R Us. It was every child idea of the perfect day. We coloured in whilst we waited for…continue reading →
Monkey Turns One – Our day out

Monkey Turns One – Our day out

After M's fantastic space party, we had high expectations for his actual birthday. The day before, we spent the afternoon in Toys R Us buying last minute presents. M has recently had a huge developmental growth and was really bored of the toys he had. We made sure we bought plenty of noisy toys that required him to practice his motor skills and also lots of books we could all read together. We spent the evening wrapping and getting his presents ready for the morning and then we made sure we got to…continue reading →
Finding Nemo at Blue Reef Aquarium – Newquay

Finding Nemo at Blue Reef Aquarium – Newquay

When we visited Legoland last month, M was really interested in the fish during the Atlantis ride. He gasped and giggled as they swam towards the submarine we were travelling in. During our stay at Trevella Park in Cornwall, we thought it would be a great idea to take him to see even more fish at the Blue Reef Aquarium in Newquay, just 15 minutes from the holiday park. The aquarium is located right on the sea front at the bottom of some very steep stone steps. It wasn't until we were leaving…continue reading →
Going MAD at Legoland

Going MAD at Legoland

On my first ever Mama's Day, C, M and I got invited along to Legoland Windsor as a reward for being Finalists in the Mad Blog Awards. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my day than with my family, new blogging friends and lots of fun rides. On arrival at the amazing Legoland hotel, which I intend to stay at when M is a little older to appreciate, we were handed a map, lanyard and some super amazing gold wrist bands which allowed us to access the rides without queuing.…continue reading →
Bank Holiday fun at Farmer Palmers

Bank Holiday fun at Farmer Palmers

As the weather was so lovely last weekend, C decided it would be a great idea to visit Farmer Palmers. We asked our mums, my little niece and C's little brother to join us on M's first trip to a farm.   Farmer Palmers is only 20 minutes from us, so we allowed ourselves a relaxing morning at home, hoping it would allow us to miss the morning rush. We were glad we did, as when we arrived we had to park in the overflow car park and queue for just a small…continue reading →
Bank holiday fun at Moors Valley Park

Bank holiday fun at Moors Valley Park

With the weather being unusually sunny for a bank holiday we decided to visit our local woodland area, Moors Valley Park. We are so lucky that it's less than 30 minutes drive from us. We'd visited a couple of times since M was born, but found him unable to really appreciate any activities on offer. Now that he's started interacting more and walking a few steps we felt it was a perfect place to take him. Plus we both really love visiting. The first adventure we embarked on, was a train ride on…continue reading →
When Monkey visited Monkey World

When Monkey visited Monkey World

On Wednesday C was extremely lucky to be asked to chaperone her brother to see P!nk at the O2 in London. C has been a big fan of P!nk for years so even though she was incredibly anxious about leaving M for such a long time, she couldn't pass up the opportunity. Not wanting to pass up the opportunity of a whole day with my little man, I booked the day off work and arranged a visit to Monkey World. Monkey World is only 30 minutes from our door, which is handy as…continue reading →
Sandy toes and hearty soups

Sandy toes and hearty soups

This weekend we visited our lovely friends from Devon at our halfway meet up point, Lyme Regis. Lyme Regis is just an hour from each of us and such a lovely little town to visit no matter what time of the year. The last time we met there we decided to start a tradition every time we went. We took a picture of a pregnant C and the lovely Devon dumpling *who featured in our Anywayup Cup review* on a wall by the beach. We thought this would be a lovely idea to…continue reading →
