Beau’s introduction to Moors Valley Park

Beau’s introduction to Moors Valley Park

This weekend Beau had his first introduction to Moors Valley Park. If you are regular readers you will know that Moors Valley Park is one of our favourite places to visit. There is so much to do there that we can easily find something different to do each time we visit. With Beau now being fully vaccinated and enjoying time off the lead, we decided he would love Moors Valley just as much as us. Except, we hadn't accounted for the fact he was still a very excited puppy that just wants to…continue reading →
Durdle Door with a dog

Durdle Door with a dog

Last weekend we jumped in the car with Beau and decided to go the beach. On beautiful sunny days we have the luxury of being only half an hour from a stunning beach. Except, life with a dog means you need to do a little more research when making a day trip. Our favourite beach doesn't allow dogs during specific months, so a quick Google and we were soon heading to Durdle Door with a dog and a very excited boy. Our journey to Durdle Door took us across the Poole chain link…continue reading →
Being tourists in Weymouth

Being tourists in Weymouth

A few weeks ago I needed to collect some pebbles for my Beaver Scouts to paint into bugs during one of their meetings. Many years ago if we needed a pebble beach we would head to Brighton, but with us living in Dorset now, we decided to visit Weymouth. It was gloriously sunny, which inspired us to become tourists for the day, despite having visited Weymouth hundreds of times over the years. We bought ice creams, watched M enjoy a donkey ride and ticked one of my life list activities off by renting…continue reading →
Easter Egg Hunt at Farmer Palmers

Easter Egg Hunt at Farmer Palmers

Easter weekend was definitely a full on family adventure weekend for us. Clara's mum had very kindly given us vouchers for our local farm, so we decided to attend the Easter Egg Hunt at Farmer Palmers. We always love visiting Farmer Palmers as it's got the right amount of activities to keep M busy for the day. With an indoor play area, hay bale slide section, bouncy castles as well as animals, there is always something M can enjoy. When we first arrived M headed straight for the ride on tractor trailers. I…continue reading →
A London trip and Lego

A London trip and Lego

Just over a week ago I got an invite to London to learn about the new Google Home smart device designed to make you more present at home. With it being the Easter holiday half term I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take the day off work to take M on a trip to London to see Google HQ and the Lego Store. M loves visiting London as much as we do, especially when trains are involved, so to save on the congestion charge and car park fees I decided…continue reading →
The Easter Egg Hunt at Kingston Lacy

The Easter Egg Hunt at Kingston Lacy

When we became National Trust members we decided to truly make the most of our membership during every season. Our first event we wanted to enjoy this year was the Easter Egg Hunt at Kingston Lacy which runs until 23rd April. ¬†When we discovered the weather was going to be glorious on Sunday we knew that had to be the day we took on the hunt. It seemed everyone in Dorset had the same idea, as when we turned up just after 10am the main car park was almost full. The egg hunt…continue reading →
A family rave with Big Fish Little Fish

A family rave with Big Fish Little Fish

It's been a while since I stood queuing outside a nightclub, eager to order a nice cool drink and dance until my feet hurt. But thanks to Big Fish Little Fish, last weekend we found ourselves in a dark nightclub reaching for the bubbles rather than the lasers, with our little man at our side. Big Fish Little Fish is a genius idea designed to bring clubbing back to those with children. We were invited down to the Mother's Day event in Bournemouth which took place in a nightclub that smelled just like…continue reading →
Birthday Segway adventure at Go Ape!

Birthday Segway adventure at Go Ape!

Birthday's do not have to be boring the older you get. So many adults I know tell me that they don't bother about birthdays anymore or that they just don't excite them and it makes me sad. I love birthdays. I love celebrating my birthday, Clara's birthday, M's birthday and pretty much anyone else's as I just love them. It is a celebration of your existence! Embrace it. In fact I think I've had some of my most exciting birthday's as an adult. I've had countless trips to London, an ace holiday at…continue reading →
Wunderlife Brug Launches on Kickstart

Wunderlife Brug Launches on Kickstart

As lovers of adventure and getting outdoors it's always nice when you discover a brand and product that fit your lifestyle. This was particularly true when we were introduced to Wunderlife and the Brug. The creators of Wunderlife are parents who wanted to create a product that had a multi-purpose to give you a little extra time to enjoy the moments that matter. So what is a Brug? The Brug is a water resistant rug that transforms into a bag. It's such a simple idea but one we've not seen before. We've had…continue reading →
Weird and wonderful at Ripley’s Believe it or not museum, London

Weird and wonderful at Ripley’s Believe it or not museum, London

Last month during our family time in London, we were invited to see some weird and wonderful exhibitions at Ripley's Believe it or not museum. Both C and I had visited Ripley's before, but our little man was super excited to be making his first visit. Ripley's is really easy to locate on Piccadilly Circus as it sits several stories high and has a constant stream of visitors feeding into the entrance. We didn't have to wait long in the entrance queue, which provided M with some time to check out the very…continue reading →
