Ribs and Milkshakes at Planet Hollywood, London

Ribs and Milkshakes at Planet Hollywood, London

A couple of weeks ago during our trip to London we got invited to Planet Hollywood to enjoy a lovely family meal. I have fond memories of Planet Hollywood as a child as one of my friends took me there for my first visit on one of her birthday's. I remember drinking a Gremlin (alcohol free) cocktail and being amazed by all the film memorabilia. Planet Hollywood has moved location since then and it's set slightly back from all the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly Circus down Haymarket. It's a great location as…continue reading →
An Anniversary Meal at Carluccio’s – Review

An Anniversary Meal at Carluccio’s – Review

This year Clara and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary in the gorgeous Carluccio's in Dorchester. I've eaten breakfast at Carluccio's, but never eaten lunch or dinner there, so I was quite excited to explore the menu and taste some new dishes. As we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly general manager whom showed us to our seats and introduced us too our server, Philippe. We both expressed how homely the restaurant felt and likened it to sitting in a best friends kitchen sampling their stunning cooking. We were offered some olives…continue reading →
Heinz After School Super Heroes

Heinz After School Super Heroes

It is often said that those who can whip up a delicious and nutritious after school supper, are Super Heroes and well Clara and I would have to agree with that. We are masters of the quick supper and like to try and get a healthy meal into our little man. So when we were offered some Heinz products and the chance to give some Super Hero recipes a go, we jumped at the chance. DC Comics have teamed up with Heinz and their fab classics, to help you create some fantastic meals…continue reading →

Camp Bestival – Food 2015

Camp Bestival – Food 2015

Last year the food at Camp Bestival was one of the most pleasant surprises ever. We'd always had a precoceived idea of what food at a festival would be like and as it turned out, we needn't have worried at all. We share what we ate at Camp Bestival last year, so we thought we'd share what we ate this year too. We were slightly more organised this year and planned ahead to reduce money spent on food. Prices are pretty standard across all food stalls, but this soon adds up. We took…continue reading →
Milkshakes and Steak at Beefeater

Milkshakes and Steak at Beefeater

It's been quite a while since Clara and I visited a steak dining restaurant, as I've only just started eating meat again. We have passed the Beefeater in Weymouth several times and thought it looked like a fab place to take M, so we were delighted when we were offered some vouchers to sample their Garden Menu and awesome milkshakes. We decided to visit on a weekend and found it to be very quiet when we arrived (a little late) at just after 3pm. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, interacting with…continue reading →
Deliciously Ella Nutty Energy Bites

Deliciously Ella Nutty Energy Bites

Ever since being bought Ella's book, Deliciously Ella, I've been a little obsessed with trying out different recipes. I've been on a major health kick and this is exactly the right book I needed in my life. It took me a while to build up my cupboard with staple ingredients as some are a little expensive and I also bought a food processor. But now that I've been creating things from this book for a few months I have items ready to go every week. My favourite creation, which I have tweaked ever…continue reading →
What’s inside a Degustabox?

What’s inside a Degustabox?

A few months ago we were sent a Degustabox, which we vlogged about on our YouTube Channel. We really enjoyed it and were super excited to be sent another one to review this month. If we had to make a choice, this month's was our favourite so far as it seemed to be more aimed at our tastes. The Degustabox is a subscription service where you get sent a box of interesting food items for £12.99. It's quite exciting waiting to see what you get when you open it. This month didn't disappoint.…continue reading →
Using Leftovers to Cook

Using Leftovers to Cook

As part of this month’s Shortcut Eggspert Challenge, we were asked to share a recipe using leftovers. One recipe sprung to mind, it’s very simple but so tasty and perfect for using leftover meat from a Sunday Roast. If like me, you get home from a busy Monday at work or a hard day looking after the kids after the weekend, you’re tired and just cant be bothered to cook, then head to the fridge, grab your box of eggs and leftover meat from the night before and make the perfect Monday’s Leftover…continue reading →
Vita Coco – Coconut water for kids

Vita Coco – Coconut water for kids

A few years ago during a major healthy lifestyle change, I disocvered the wonders of Vita Coco Coconut water. I fell in love with their Pineapple flavoured Vita Coco and managed to cause my local health food store to sell out several times. I even won a case of Vita Coco once, due to my love of their drinks. So I was really interested to discover that they now offer a Vita Coco for kids. Vita Coco Kids, is a natural fruit flavoured coconut water which comes in two flavours, Apple & Blackcurrant…continue reading →
