Ribs and Milkshakes at Planet Hollywood, London

Ribs and Milkshakes at Planet Hollywood, London

A couple of weeks ago during our trip to London we got invited to Planet Hollywood to enjoy a lovely family meal. I have fond memories of Planet Hollywood as a child as one of my friends took me there for my first visit on one of her birthday's. I remember drinking a Gremlin (alcohol free) cocktail and being amazed by all the film memorabilia. Planet Hollywood has moved location since then and it's set slightly back from all the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly Circus down Haymarket. It's a great location as…continue reading →
An Anniversary Meal at Carluccio’s – Review

An Anniversary Meal at Carluccio’s – Review

This year Clara and I celebrated our 6th Wedding Anniversary in the gorgeous Carluccio's in Dorchester. I've eaten breakfast at Carluccio's, but never eaten┬álunch or dinner there, so I was quite excited to explore the menu and taste some new dishes. As we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly general manager whom showed us to our seats and introduced us too our server, Philippe. We both expressed how homely the restaurant felt and likened it to sitting in a best friends kitchen sampling their stunning cooking. We were offered some olives…continue reading →
Burger date at Five Guys, London

Burger date at Five Guys, London

Clara and I fell in love with Five Guys the first time we set eyes on their fabulous burgers. When we decided to spend Valentine's Day in London, there was no doubt that our burger date at Five Guys would take place. With this being our third visit to Five Guys, we have pretty much perfected how we like our burgers. Despite being incredibly popular, the queues to order and collect never take as long as they look like they will. Clara joined the queue to order whilst M and I headed downstairs…continue reading →
The Durley Inn Harvester – #AD

The Durley Inn Harvester – #AD

We have always been fans of a Harvester, the friendly family atmosphere, fab menu and mid of the range prices are very attractive to a family like ours. So when we were invited to visit The Durley Inn Harvester recently, we asked our friends along to help us sample a great evening out. The Harvester menu has had a bit of a makeover since we last visited one. After being show to our seats and ordering our drinks, we did what most people do when they visit a Harvester, we headed to the…continue reading →
Play at Brewers Fayre – Weymouth

Play at Brewers Fayre – Weymouth

A few weeks ago we were invited to Weymouth for the launch of Brewers Fayre's new Beano themed play area. I've been a Beano fan since I was a child, so I had to take the family to see what they had to offer. On arrival we were shown through the restaurant to a room just off the back of the main dining area. It was a bit like walking into the Tardis as I was not expecting to see a large softplay area as well as a small kiosk and play room…continue reading →
Milkshakes and Steak at Beefeater

Milkshakes and Steak at Beefeater

It's been quite a while since Clara and I visited a steak dining restaurant, as I've only just started eating meat again. We have passed the Beefeater in Weymouth several times and thought it looked like a fab place to take M, so we were delighted when we were offered some vouchers to sample their Garden Menu and awesome milkshakes. We decided to visit on a weekend and found it to be very quiet when we arrived (a little late) at just after 3pm. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, interacting with…continue reading →
Zizzi – Delicious Italian food for the family

Zizzi – Delicious Italian food for the family

Clara and I love to save our Tesco Club-card vouchers to spend on a family meal out. For the last two years we've been spending them at Pizza Express and decided that it was time for a change. We converted enough vouchers to be able to enjoy a three course meal at Zizzi's and booked our table to celebrate C getting a promotion at work. We'd initially booked our table for 5pm, but when we arrived at half 4 we were seated with no problem. The restaurant was quite empty and gradually grew…continue reading →
