This weekend (11th-12th July) I am taking part in a Scout camp and I can't wait. Since lock down started, one of the things I've missed the most, is not seeing my Beaver Scouts face to face, at their weekly meeting. We are lucky to have a very supportive group that has helped me keep Scouting during a weekly zoom Beaver meeting. But camping is what I love most about Scouting. When I became a Beaver Scout Leader I mentioned to my fellow leaders that if I was to plan a Beaver Scout sleepover it would have a Harry Potter theme. Scouting needs you

From the age of 6 I entered the girl guides community as a Rainbow and worked my way through Brownies, Guides and assisted my mum as a Rainbow leader. They were the best years in my childhood memories. I learned about teamwork, building fires, putting up canvas tents and working towards a goal.
