Operation Clean up with Beko

Operation Clean up with Beko

When you have a 5 year old and a 10 month old puppy the house can go from pristine to never been cleaned in about 60 seconds. I have lost count of how many times I hoover our living room and kitchen in a day. Anything that can be smooshed into a million pieces can be achieved either by M or Beau. We were recently sent a Beko Cordless Handheld & Upright Vacuum Cleaner to put through some tests and couldn't wait to see if it could handle the mess our puppy and…continue reading →
The Eden Project, Cornwall

The Eden Project, Cornwall

The Eden Project in Cornwall is somewhere I have wanted to visit in a while. Home to the largest rainforest in captivity and based in a gorgeous part of the country, it was a must visit on our recent stay in an Airbnb in Camelford. The Eden Project offer you the option to donate your admission fee to convert it into an annual pass when you book online, which is great if you want to take your time during your visit. On arrival the car parks are a short walk to the main…continue reading →
Is this the right toilet?

Is this the right toilet?

When I was 19 I asked my dad to shave my head. I wanted a new hairstyle and decided a shaved head was the style for me. It wasn't a huge statement, or a form of rebellion, I was just experimenting with my style and at the time, I quite enjoyed not having to do my hair in the mornings. From the moment I shaved my head I was treated differently. Sideways glances, comments under people's breath's and even comments directed right at me. But something that always stuck with me most from…continue reading →
Thank you for coming out Ellen

Thank you for coming out Ellen

Twenty years ago I was an awkward, overweight, acne ridden teen full of angst and the feeling that I was different to my friends. I enjoyed watching American sitcoms on Sky and liked one sitcom more than most. The sitcom revolved around the life of a character called Ellen Morgan. She was funny and kind and made me feel a bit like how my friends said boys made them feel. I know now that I had a crush on her and had been having crushes on girls for a few years, but at…continue reading →

Wildflowers, zombies and Moana – Little Loves

Last week was a week of new starts. I started a new book, started my Zombie 5K training again and started (and finished) a new podcast. I am really enjoying sharing my weekly updates with Little Loves as it has actually encouraged me to read more, do more and document more. If you're interested in joining in documenting your week's Little Loves, do make sure you check out the host, Morgana over at Coffee Work Sleep Repeat. Read This week I spent my final Audible credit on Drew Barrymore's book Wildflower. I have…continue reading →
Waking up to new beginnings on an eve mattress.

Waking up to new beginnings on an eve mattress.

Last November Kirsty, Monkey and I bought our first home together and although it was a very exciting time for us, it was also an anxious time, especially for our 4 year old. Getting used to a new bedroom and a new bed, which were both much larger than any he had previously slept in was a bit daunting for him. Kirsty and I wanted our little man to have as many comforts as possible so when the lovely people over at eveĀ arranged to send him a new mattress we were delighted. Our…continue reading →
