Fitness – Gallery Linky

This weeks theme over at the Sticky Fingers Gallery is Fitness.

This is a theme that I love. Last year I went on a major health kick. I lost over 30lbs and really changed the way I look. If you ask nicely I may show you the before and after pictures one day.

When we found out C was pregnant we had to make some moneysaving moves in our lives, so we gave up our gym memberships. We had to find other ways to keep fit. I love to cycle and walk and do weights and attempted to keep doing all of these. Though once a baby entered our world I’ll be honest. I was too shattered to do much of any of these.

But these last few weeks we have been making a concious effort to change our mind set again. I want to be fit and healthy and able to run around with Monkey once he is bigger enough to go to the park. I also want to maintain that fitness for any future monkeys. Which brings me to our entry to the Gallery.

This week we received our first ever Graze box to help with healthy eating and I got myself a new pedometer to attempt to take 10,000 steps each day.

Are you doing anything to keep fit for your little ones? Run over to the Gallery and join in with this weeks theme.

I had an app but everytime I wanted to switch songs I added about ten extra steps lol.

Daddy Lloyd has a graze box delivered to him at work for his healthy lunch snack…he says they are yummy!

Great idea with the pedometer, running around after a little one those steps will mount up pretty quickly! X

I’m sure my pedometer will explode by the time Monkey is mobile lol

The idea that you want to be able to run around with your son totally resonated with me and I’ve finally got fit so that I can. I really noticed this summer when my 3yo wanted to play Olympics that I really could keep up with him. Also my Graze box is my once a week treat and I love it

I don’t want Monkey to be embarrassed if I have to keep stopping having fun at the park etc. luckily he’s still only small so I’ve got plenty of time 🙂

Just found your site after you commented on mine (thank you) I can’t wait to read more of it.

wow 30kg, that’s awesome! I too gave up the gym and now much prefer outside exercise, beautiful views, battles with the weather (as I tell my boys rain doesn’t hurt it’s just water) I just climb inside.

Thank you for commenting. Exercising outside rocks! Great way to keep cool during exercise in the winter 🙂

Great photo. It is so hard to get back into exercise once there is a baby in the house! I used to go out for an hour’s walk a day whilst my son slept soundly in his pram!
