Funky Giraffe Bibs is one of our favourite baby brands. When M was a tiny baby you would almost always see us using their burp cloths or see M wearing one of their stylish bandana bibs. We love to dress M in lots of colour and funky designs, so they were perfect. They always have such a large variety of bib designs and we just wanted to buy them all.
I was a little disappointed with the limited designs for the Playsuits, I found it quite difficult to choose designs that I really loved. There are 6 designs for the playsuits and I would really love them to branch out and offer more. In the end we went for the classic Funky Giraffe logo and a Rocket design and I wasn’t disappointed when they arrived. The colours are very bold and really stood out. We most certainly made the right decision, M looks adorable in them. Kirsty really loved the rocket design and would have loved an option for super hero designs too, but maybe this is something that could be added in future.
The fabric is quite stretchy and very soft, which for a playsuit is great, you want your toddler to wear something they can move in easily and if you also have a big bundle of energy who likes to climb everything in sight, like we have, they will be perfect. The playsuits are also quite thin so I would recommend using them in the warmer months of the year, even with a vest underneath I still think they would get quite cold in the Autumn/Winter. They are very accessible for nappy changes, just like a sleep suit the Playsuits have poppers at the bottom. I have also found them to be a lifesaver in the middle of the night if M needs his PJ’s changed, I can get the playsuit on him with ease and without disturbing him too much. They double up as great sleep suits if you are caught short of PJ’s one evening.
The fit is not perfect on M however, I found the sleeves and legs were more like ¾ length, which he finds uncomfortable and is always trying to pull them up or down. I honestly don’t mind ¾ length items but there is so much growing room to the body of the Playsuit, they just look a little out of proportion. That said, these are not clothes to be worn outside the comfort of your home and I really like these playsuits. I will be using them a lot in the summer and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for play clothes for their toddlers.
The Funky Giraffe Playsuits range in sizes 0 – 36 months and retail at £10 per suit, which I think is more than what we would pay for a playsuit, but Funky Giraffe Bibs have a lot of offers on and if you buy more than 1, the price reduces, so always worth looking out for them.
