Our Little Star – Frugi Winter Coat

When I was a child, one of my favourite moments was getting my winter coat. There was something fun about having this brand new warm coat I could hide things in the pockets and wrap up warm when it rained. When we were sent a gorgeous Frugi winter coat for M, I had this same feeling. I wanted to wrap him up in it and send him outside to play. We actually received the coat a few months ago, but the weather was gorgeous and there was no way M would put the coat on for longer than 30 seconds due to the heat. But being Autumn now, we’ve had our fair share of cold and wet days already and M’s lovely coat has been a regular feature in his daily outfit.

The coat has a fab water resistant outer layer, which helps with all the rain we’ve been having. A cosy soft fleece lining on the inside, reflective print stars on the back, arms and pockets and adjustable popper cuffs. It even has a secret pocket too. We love the bright colour and choose it as we always like M to look colourful, but if you prefer a plainer look, the same coat is available in Navy.

The zips and poppers are not stiff and have helped us to teach M to remove his coat by himself. He loves his independence and being the master of his own coat really does make him smile. The hood is nice and big with plenty of room if he is wearing a woolly hat when it grows cold. Though trying to get a toddler to keep a hood on is mighty challenging.

The reflective stars on the back skirt of the coat are a great idea. With the clocks going back and the nights growing dark earlier we will certainly feel somewhat safer when visiting the park as it grows dark.

The coat is available from 3 years right up to 10 years, which is fantastic. At £46 you really get a coat that is going to last not only one winter by will be great to pass of to future siblings or friends.
