Marks and Spencer ‘Spread Christmas Cheer’

Christmas is such a magical time of year. We love having a big Christmas all together as a family, taking the time to just spend time with each other.

This year however, we were given the opportunity by Marks and Spencer to ‘Spread Christmas Cheer’ to a special family who have touched our lives. We were given a £20 gift card to spend on a special present, it could be anything we wished. The act of giving a gift doesn’t have to cost a fortune, it’s the thought you put into gift.

M & S Cheer

We wanted to send some Christmas Cheer to The Spencer Family. Over the past year we have had the pleasure of getting to know the lovely Kara from Innocent Charms Chats and her beautiful family. Kara’s son Grayson has a very rare condition, which the Dr’s have no name for, he is a SWAN (Syndrome without a name). Through the countless hospital visits and uncertainty of his illness the determination and strength of this amazing family is an inspiration to us. So much so that we have joined together with some fellow bloggers to raise money for the much needed equipment for Grayson. The Raising for Grayson team will be taking on two physical challenges in 2014, which will put us all to the test. It seems like such a long time to wait until then, so we were delighted to be able to send them a special gift.

M & S notes

We decided to send a special stocking full of food goodies. A yummy box of mince pies, some chocolate covered star shaped pretzels, Sugar jelly Father Christmas treats, Star Jellies and chocolate coins (no stocking is complete without chocolate coins).

We loved putting the stocking together and we sat with anticipation until they received the gift in the post. It was very special to us to Spread Christmas Cheer with a family who really deserved a treat.

*We were provided with a £20 voucher to spend on someone we care about.

It was a beautiful gift, we ate it (way to quickly) and every time thought of you, Addison loved the sweeties and the pot, so much so we have to refill that little pot, it is now Addison’s sweetie pot and Deacon left the stocking out for Santa to fill xxx
