Midnight Appreciation

So I was sitting in bed, in my hotel room, following an amazing night at the Mad Blog Awards, just about to turn in for the evening when I started to think about how much I appreciate our little blogging community. We have met some wonderful people and build such great friendships.

We were totally honoured to have been finalists and even though we didn’t win, we had the best night, surrounded by friends who have a mutual love of telling each other exactly how it is. We also met lots of new people and put faces to names.

I am already counting down to the next event where we get to see everyone again. Until then we will all meet each other on a daily basis on Twitter, Facebook and through our blogs. Sometimes you keep us going through the tough times and keep us smiling.

There were lots of friends missing from the awards who we really wished could have been there. I know lots of people live streamed the awards and cheered and whooped with us as the winners were announced. What an amazing community! Spending their Friday evening sat at computer screens cheering on their friends. Just blows my mind and I feel extremely privileged that you have accepted us into your little world.

A huge congratulations to the winners, all very deserved.

This is lovely. As someone who wasn’t there I must admit there was this lovely atmosphere that oozed out of Twitter and Instagram (and Whatsapp). I still felt excitement and butterflies and it was nice to still feel part of it without actually being there.
This is a fab community and I’m so glad you are part of it xx

This is so lovely, and I agree with everything you said. I have met some incredible friends through blogging and I really feel that for the most part everyone I encounter is really pleased and supportive of others success. That is how it should be. I feel really proud to be a part of this funny old community! X

Aw would have loved to have been there, but it was great to get a taste of it through twitter – and yes, this blogging/tweeting community has been a delightful revelation, such a wonderful support and inspiration from so many, including you!
