(C) I have my baby boy fast asleep on my chest having snuggles on the sofa on a cold Autumnal day and it makes me realise just how lucky we are. My wife and I have a perfect little family, everything we have been dreaming of since the day we met and fell in love.
Every time I look at our little Monkey I can’t believe that I’m his mummy, I feel so proud.
The time is going by so fast and I can’t believe he is 2 months old already. Over the last 4 weeks he has changed so much. He takes everything in like a little sponge.
He’s finally mastered sucking his thumb to soothe himself, which is such a relief. He loves his comforts and already has a favourite blanket. He loves to stand up and smiles away when we hold him up on his feet. We’ve also started having little conversations, he’s watching our lips move and tries to mimic us and let’s out the most adorable sounds. The biggest change is how much he smiles. Every time he smiles at us it just melts our hearts. He’s just adorable.
(K) Holding my little boy in my arms is guaranteed to turn any miserable day in to a happy one. From the moment he looks deep into my eyes to the huge grin he gets on his face when he registers my smile.
This last month I’ve seen so many changes in Monkey. His little personality is really starting to form well. He has the cutest little giggle and the best comedic timing. I’m slightly jealous of how he always chooses the right moment to inject his humour. He loves to snuggle and let’s us know when he wants this in his own way.
He loves to try and whip his head round when he hears one of us talk. So much so that I fear he is genetically related to an owl. He’s also really noticing his toys. His favourite is Mr Zebra and Freddy the firefly. He continues to enjoy music we played to him whilst C was pregnant and he still dislikes Queen, much to his Grandpa’s disappointment.
I can’t wait to see what next month holds.
