At the start of the year I declared that this would be my year of “make a difference”. I wanted to make a difference in many areas of my life and also attempt to make a difference in others lives. One of my biggest areas I wanted to make a difference was my health. A healthy lifestyle has become incredibly important to me since becoming a parent. I’ve been making active changes to my diet, exercising more and making an effort to let things not get to me so much.
One of my favourite places to visit that encourages me in my quest for a healthy lifestyle is Moors Valley Park. There are acres of woodland to walk around, a lovely little cafe that serves healthy food and even a bike hire shop in case I really want to get my heart pumping. Set in a beautiful part of Dorset, Moors Valley Park is an ideal location for the family or even a solitary visit on a stunning day.
There is something so relaxing about walking among the trees. Each visit reminds me to find my inner calm and I leave restored and full of positivity. With plenty of paths to wander, I find something new with almost every visit. I would have to say it’s my favourite place to find myself.
