We are excited to be attending Cybher, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias® we attended Debenhams to buy an outfit to wear.
Cybher is on the 1st of June in London and will be our first official blogging event. We’re incredibly excited about attending and really want to look our best. It was great to discover I had the opportunity to visit Debenhams to buy an outfit. It’s not my usual store to buy my clothes from, but I was looking forward to browsing the labels they had on offer. To find out more about how our visit to Debenhams went, you can check out our Google+ album here, (Shopping for a Cybher outfit)
I am not the best person to put colours together, but C is great at choosing outfits. We decided that I should go with something bright and colourful, but not too out there. I had decided I wanted a navy t-shirt, so that I’d feel comfortable and C suggested finding a pair of red trousers to add some colour.
I had a cardigan, bracelets and shoes at home to compliment the outfit. After C convinced me that the trousers (my first women’s pair of trousers in over a decade) looked good, I was sure it was the outfit for me. I wanted to combine comfort, colour and still look smart enough to be attending a professional event.
One of the most exciting things we are looking forward to at Cybher is meeting other bloggers. But even though the social aspect is incredibly exciting, we are also looking forward to learning lots from all the different speakers. I intend to take lots of notes, photos and Instagram anything I can. To do all this I will need to carry my camera, notebook, iPad and iPhone. So I thought the best thing to complete my outfit was a Red Herring Rucksack from the bag department in Debenhams. I am not a handbag person, so a rucksack is the perfect bag for me, plus C was able to find one that went well with the items we had already chosen.
The closer we get to attending Cybher, the more nervous I become. I think this is due to the fact that I will be in the same room as quite a few people I look up to in the blogging world. I’m really glad I get to attend with C and Monkey though as I’m sure they will help break the ice with people. Even if people can’t remember if they’ve met me, I hope to leave an impression with my bright red trousers.
We would love to meet as many people as possible at Cybher, if you’re going, why not leave us a comment or send us a message on twitter (@mytwomums)
