Plan Toys Wooden My First Camera

Working with The Toadstool online toy store has introduced us to some gorgeous traditional wooden toys that encourage use of imagination and assist your little ones to develop their motor skills. Our little man has tested musical toys, moving toys and sensory toys. I did have a favourite, but when we opened My First Camera by Plan Toys, there was no question that this was going to be my new favourite toy M has.

Plan Toys My First Camera

This gorgeous Wooden Camera costs £11.50 and would be a perfect addition to a photographer child’s stocking. Even if you aren’t a big photographer this camera is a lovely toy to add to any toy box. The lens and shutter button are both moving parts and the lens is a kaleidoscope, which is a lovely touch. The Camera is made from sustainable, eco friendly wood and has a beautiful smooth finish.

Wooden My First Camera

My First Camera is perfect for little hands and has a short wrist strap they can pop their hand through to prevent them dropping it as they capture their masterpieces. They can mimic you as you take your snaps and start to look at the world through their own kaleidoscope lens.

Back of My First Camera

I can see this toy being handed down through all our children so they can take pictures just like me. Though will little minds being as imaginative as they are, I imagine their images to be much more interesting than the ones I capture.

My First Camera

My First Camera by Plan toys is suitable for 18 months+, but at 16 months M is definitely ready for this kind of toy. I also know the way he uses it will change as he grows and it may even inspire conversations about the pictures he is taking. Go and pop these in your little one’s stocking, it won’t disappoint.
