In May we helped Frugi celebrate turning 10. Frugi is a lovely company founded in 2004. Their clothes are not only comfortable, colourful and stylish, they are also ethically made and organic. They cater for newborn to ten years and even provide stylish mothers, with a breastfeeding wear range. Their clothing is available to buy online and via selected retailers. Our little man practically lives in his Frugi crawlers, so we were really pleased to become part of the Frugi Family.
Frugi have decided to celebrate Prince George’s first Birthday by launching a very special limited edition run of 60 t-shirts with a lovely ‘Prince George and the Dragon’ applique. When our t-shirt for M arrived, he started roaring with delight. He recently discovered dragons, so was really happy to have a new t-shirt with a dragon on it. We are also fans of stripes, there is something quite nautical about blue stripes, which looks very cute on M.
The 60 t-shirts cover ages 0-3 months to 3 years, which meant we were able to get M a size 2-3, which gives him a bit of room to grow into it. We like to make sure M’s clothes have plenty of growing room as he seems to be growing so much at the moment. It will be the perfect size when the days start getting a little cooler. So I’m sure you’ll start to see more snaps of him in it over on our Instagram as autumn comes around.
Frugi founders Lucy & Kurt Jewson are hopeful that they will get to present a ‘Prince George and the Dragon’ t-shirt to the Queen to give to Prince George, when they meet her at Buckingham Palace this month, in recognition of the company’s recent Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
It’s not just the Frugi family and Prince George who will be wearing a lovely ‘Prince George and the Dragon’ t-shirt, Frugi have made the fab decision to use some for charity auctions and competition winners. So make sure you keep an eye on their Facebook page and Twitter, as there is going to be a chance for you to get your hands on one!
We love M’s new t-shirt and look forward to the day when we can tell him about about the special George and the Dragon tee in his wardrobe. Long after he’s outgrown it and all his siblings have worn it, we will tell him about how he was one of the lucky 60 who got to help Frugi celebrate Prince George turn 1.
