Summer is here, time for fun in the sun

These last few weeks we have been blessed with some gorgeous weather. We have been busy having fun in the sun and making the most of the fact that summer is here.

We’ve been swimming outdoors, playing in the park and enjoying picnics in the park. It’s not only great for your little one to enjoy some sun (safely), it’s also great for you mentally, as we all know being stuck inside on gloomy days can take its toll.

This week we are joining seven lovely bloggers offering seven different products up for grabs. Each product is guaranteed to help you out during the summer and will make sure you have fun in the sun.

Jennie is giving away a Bundlebean Solar over at Edspire
Joanna is giving away a Snoozeshade over at Little Rays of Sunshine
Kerry is giving away a Lights Out Blind Oh So Amelia
Rebecca is giving away a SwimTots nappy Mum of Three Boys
Charlotte is giving away a TotSeat Write Like No one’s Watching
Tina is a giving away a bottle from Pacific Baby Mother Geek

If you are regular readers of our blog, you will know we love to babywear. If you’ve ever tried babywearing in the heat, you’ll know that it can be a sticky affair. A sling with light material will make sure you and your baby stay cooler. The BabaSling® Lite is 20% lighter than their Classic sling and is made from a lovely breathable airy cotton twill so it’s really easy to keep baby comfy and cool whilst out and about.

The Lite can be used to carry babies from birth to two years in five natural carrying positions and retails at  £39.99

I think this looks fantastic, a really good accessory for the summer. We are going on holiday in August to Lundy Island which is off the North Devon coast – its absolutely beautiful there and I can’t wait! This would make things so much easier to carry Ollie around with us!

This summer our little man turns one too! We are spending the week before in Wiltshire with Grandma and Grandad then home to party and another week together as Mama has annual leave and Mummy is on summer holidays 🙂 Love our babasling and never even realised there was a light version, we get pretty hot and sticky in ours sometimes!

We will be stuck indoors – our kitchen and bathroom are being done and I can’t leave the builders in the house alone so we have to stay in. We did manage to get out yesterday and it looks like we’ll be able to go out today too. Yesterday we took a walk along the canal and fed the ducks.
