In exactly two weeks time we will be lining up, ready to start our Spartan race. Over the last few months we have been losing weight, training and generally getting ourselves mentally ready for one of our biggest challenges yet. When we both decided to take on a Spartan race we were determined to complete it at our fittest. When we climbed Snowdon for our last challenge we had lost some weight but still had a long way to go in regards to our fitness levels.
This time round we have made important life style changes that have had a big impact on our lives. In 4 weeks we have managed to lose over a stone each, improve our fitness and create much needed healthy eating habits. We haven’t found any magic pills, used wraps or shakes or cut out meals. We’ve been listening to our Thinking Slimmer pods and following the Slimming World food principles which has provided us with a healthy intake of foods we enjoy without missing out on any favourites.
We both feel much happier in our skin and are motivated to keep on getting fitter than we have ever been as adults. It is going to be great to see what limit we can take ourselves to. We both have our own micro goals as well as main end goals to aim for. Plus it’s been so great having someone to get fit with as we can motivate each other when we have low days.
I regularly share my weight loss photos over on instagram in case you need some inspiration and would love to see your photos and updates if you are on a similar adventure.
During our Spartan race we are hoping to raise as much as we can for Raising For Grayson, a lovely little son of our friend Kara. Do go have a read of their site and please spare a pound or two for vital funds. Many thanks.
